Darlene Marie Johnson, 74, of Granite City, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to the late Norman Johnsey and Myrtle Kellebrew on August 22 1948 in Sparta, IL.
Darlene met Carroll Johnson and they were married on February 16, 1973 in Sparta, IL. The wonderful Wife and mother enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, attending flea markets, The Zoo and traveling to Branson and Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll Johnson; a daughter: Loretta Mines of Granite City; a son: Rodney Johnson of Granite City; 5 grandchildren: Susan Seyforth, Kevin (Sally) Jarvis, Lisa Jarvis, Taylor Johns, Carlie Johnson; 10 great grandchildren: Eric Watts Jr, Kendall Watts, Halen Reichmuth, Annalycia Martinez, Madison Martinez, Mando Martinez, Jospeh Jarvis, Mary Jarvis, Michael Jarvis and Kalysia Rose: and a sister: Trish Harrington of Longview, WA
Besides her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Ann Johnsey.
