Danny Ross Cutt, 76, passed away at 7:25 am, August 9, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born in West Frankfort, IL on August 19, 1935 the son of the late Clarence Cutt and Leona Wilson.
On October 16, 1971 he married Norma Crowder in Godfrey, IL. She survives.
Danny has lived in the Godfrey area since 1962. He worked at Pere Marquette’s IL Youth Center as the Chief of Security for 28 years. He was a member of the American Heritage Craft Guild. Papa’s Pork Rinds was his family owned and operated business, which could be found at Historical Shows all over the country. He also loved Cardinals baseball, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Norma; one son, Bill Hert and Karen Holder of Jerseyville; two daughters, Dawn and Kyle Kennedy of Godfrey, Angel and Mark Goodman of Hartford, IL; five grandchildren, Bailey Hert, Sydney and Sawyer Kennedy, and Hunter and Gracie Goodman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Drucilla Greene, one brother, Vernon Lee Cutt; and one infant grandson, Chase Joseph Hert.
Visitation will be from 12 pm to 4 pm, Sunday August 12, 2012 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL. A second visitation will be at 9 am at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto until time of service at 10 am Monday August 13, 2012. Pastor Kelly Mettis will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
