Daniel Laverne "Danny" Wilkinson, 63, of Grandview, Mo., formerly of Jerseyville, died at 4:48 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Ks.He was born in Carrollton, Il., on April 8, 1952, one of elven children born to the late Elmer Dallas & Carrie (Evans) Wilkinson.A longtime Jerseyville resident, Danny was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and had worked at the Olin Corp. in East Alton for a period of time, and was employed as a landscaper for many years in the Kansas City area.Surviving are three children & their spouses, Terry & Tiffany Frank of Jerseyville, Shane & Brianna Wilkinson of Martinsville, In., and Kelli Jo Wilkinson of Kankakee; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Gwen Marshall Prough and Naomi Dunsing both ofJerseyville; a brother & sister in law, Loya & Judy Wilkinson of Jerseyville; a brother in law, Rev. Paul Lynn of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters in law, Ada Wilkinson Short and Rose Wilkinson both of Jerseyville, and Wanda Wilkinson of Bowling Green, Ky.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Zelma Denham, Loretta Abbott, and Wilma Lynn; four brothers, John, Lindell, Terry & Curtis Wilkinson; and two brothers in law, Edward "Bosco" Dunsing and Dennis Prough,Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday.  Rev. Paul Lynn and Brent Meyer will officiate.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, with the Jerseyville American Legion Post 492 conducting military graveside rites.In lieu of any flowers and plants, memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
