Daniel L. Morrison, 71, passed away at 5:53 am Monday January 14, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in St. Albans, WV on July 26, 1941 the son of the late Daniel L. and Lenora (Chandler) Morrison.
Dan married Myra Douglas on September 23, 1988 in Spartenburg, SC and she survives.
He worked as a salesman at East Alton Supply for about 25 years. He was a member of the Main St. United Methodist in Alton, Franklin Lodge #25 AF&AM, Ainad Shrine, Altwood Shrine Club. He especially loved being with his Family, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Myra, one daughter Lisa and spouse Keith Kendall of Loveland, CO, two sons Michael Morrison of Edwardsville, IL, Gary and spouse Cheryl Douglas of Spartenburg, SC, five grandchildren Will and Hannah Kendall, Clinton and Spencer Morrison, Lauren Douglas and one sister Connie and spouse Cline Larcke of Nitro, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Patsy Young.
In celebration of his life, there will be a memorial visitation January 17, 2013 from 6 pm until the time of service at 7 pm at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, with the Rev. Jame Hahs and Rev. Allynn Walker officiating. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday by the Franklin Masonic Lodge #25 AF&AM.
