Daniel “Ed” Edward Van Wie, 59, of Stover, MO passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia. He was born December 20, 1962, in Alton, IL. Ed worked as A & P Mechanic, Aeronautical Inspector, and pilot at the St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto. In his free time, he enjoyed white water kayaking and flying planes.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Randi Van Wie of East Alton; sister, Melissa (Dan) Ingram of Denver, CO; nieces, Regan Van Wie, Rickie Van Wie and Madi Ingram; biological father, Daniel Camp and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles H. and Anita F. (Dunston) Van Wie.
