Dale R. Leach, Jr., 59, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his home.
The beloved son of Dale R. leach, Sr. and Betty (Keller) Leach Cunningham, he was born Jan. 6, 1952 in Alton.
A lifelong resident of the Wood River-East Alton area, he retired as a carpenter laborer at the Conoco refinery where he worked many different positions. Dale enjoyed gathering with his friends at the tavern Bojacs, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by a daughter, Natalie Leach of Hartford; a son and daughter-in-law Justin and Ana Leach and two granddaughters, Alexandra and Samantha Leach, all of East Alton; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Bill Cunningham, brother David Leach, sister Darla Leach, and girlfriend Meg Cook, all of Wood River.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12. Rev. Dan Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
