Dale Evans (Holmes) Pruitt passed away at 4:20 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 with her family by her side.
She was born in Rome, GA, on July 9, 1957 to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Baxter) Holmes. She was named after Roy Rogers’s wife Dale Evan. Dale’s father worked for the Rogers in 1948 through 1950.
Dale married Allen Arthur Pruitt on June 24, 1975. He survives.
She devoted her life to her husband and family, her greatest joy was spending time with them. She was a life time member of the Alton VFW post 1308 Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, picnics, and car rides, she thoroughly enjoyed life itself.
She is survived by, one son and his spouse; Steven and Valarie (Masulla) Pruitt, one daughter and her spouse; Edna (Pruitt) and John Williamson, three grandsons; John J. Williamson Jr., Allen N. Williamson and Steven Pruitt Jr., one step-granddaughter; Cindy Masulla, three sisters; Dorothy, Cindy, and Jean, four brothers; Walter, Roy, Melvin, and Raymond Holmes, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece; Carolyn Holmes, a brother-in-law; Ray Tidwell and a granddaughter; Elizabeth Williamson.
Visitation will be on Friday July 20, 2012 from 4 pm to 9 pm, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home, in Alton.
Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxanna, IL.
