Dale E. Bogovich, 66 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, Illinois.
Dale was born on September 8, 1955, in Granite City, Illinois; the son of the late George and Ruth (Ellis) Bogovich. Dale was a painter for Central Mine Equipment in Earth City, Missouri and after his retirement, he was a maintenance assistant for The Colonnade Senior Living Center in O’Fallon, Illinois. In his free time, Dale enjoyed his days of being outside where he loved camping and taking care of his yard and pool. He was extremely proud of his 1966 Ford Galaxie and was always tinkering in his garage while listening to music and enjoying a cold beer. Dale loved to entertain his family and friends with pool parties and a good meal and will always be remembered for the special times they shared together.
Dale is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife; Blenda (Watts) Bogovich, whom he married on July 17, 1982; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Brian Boyce of Troy, Illinois; granddaughters, Erica and Morgan Boyce both of Troy, Illinois; brother, Alan Bogovich of Collinsville, Illinois; sister, Laura Luehmann of Dupo, Illinois; sister-in-law, Shari Bogovich of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, Stephanie and Mark Harsh, Heather and Jason Puckett, Keri and Donnie Voelker, Lindsay Bogovich and Steven Bollman; nephew, Joshua Bogovich; many other great and great-great nieces and nephews, along with other extended family members and amazing close friends.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Bogovich.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., (mask required) at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Dale’s life, funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home (mask required) with Pastor Phil Kershner officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorial donations are suggested to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or online at givenow.lls.org.
