D. Kathleen Kuehnel, 91, died at 7:32 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab.
Born August 19, 1926 in Wood River, IL she was the daughter of Elzie and Alva (Payne) Poe. She retired from Owens-Illinois after 30 years of service. On June 14, 1947 she married William J. Kuehnel in Hartford, IL. He survives. Also surviving is a son, Dennis Kuehnel (Cheryl) of Edwardsville, a granddaughter, Diane Crider (Jason) of Cottage Hills, a grandson, Michael Kitzmiller (Brenna) of Desoto, MO, two great grandchildren, Vada and Kyzer Kitzmiller, and two step-great grandchildren, Raygan and Kennedy Crider and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at Upper Alton Cemetery. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
