In 1976 she married J.W. Medling Jr. and together they had 3 kids. Nikea (David) Presley of Alton, Brandon (Shirley) Medling of Batchtown, and Cassie Medling of Alton and also Avinas Nokhai an amazing friend of the family that became family, also of Alton. She had 9 grandkids Darian Presley, Jacob (Destaney) Presley, and Charleigh Presley all of Alton, Georgia Presley of Roanoke VA, Hunter Medling, Gage Medling, Peyton Medling and Gunner Medling all of Batchtown and Caleb King (Chloe Sievers) of Hardin. In addition to that she also had 2 Great- grandbabies Atreus and Aretmis Presley of Alton, 1 Special nephew Ian Patton of Woodriver and 2 nieces, Rebecca and Melissa Griffin of Indiana.
In 1997 Cindy married Robert (Bobby) Wieneke of Brussels. The 2 of them spent many years together, more than often with at least 1 grandkid with them, if not all.
This was Cindy’s 2nd time with cancer. This fight lasted a year and a half, and while going through this she hosted the last 2 family Christmas parties. She loved making big pans of turkeys, her delicious roast beef and her never ending pots of mac n cheese. Having started out at a young age at the barefoot, she was an amazing cook and Host. She retired from Alton Mental Health Center and considered her co-workers an extension of her family. Cindy loved music and could sing like an angel, she also loved to scratch lottery tickets, watching Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory, stalking her family on her life 360 app and so much more. She was strong in her faith and tried to walk in the path of Jesus. She was an amazing wife, mom, friend, worker, grandma and just a beautiful woman. To know her was to love her. Her absence is already felt. She will be forever loved and missed. Along with her brother, she was preceded in death by her mom and dad, her mother-in-law Rosemary Wieneke, and a great-granddaughter Avarice Presley.
The one thing Cindy didn’t like was being cold, so we will be having a mass for her on March 2nd at St. Norberts church in Hardin with an actual graveside service followed by a dinner at a later time this spring as the weather warms.
