Clemeth Binning

Clemeth “Clem” Binning, age 72, passed away at 8:20 am Saturday, July 16, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born on August 23, 1938 in Venice, IL, the son of the late Everett and Verna (Snider) Binning.

Clem married Barbara Lewis on September 15, 1961 in Alton and she survives him.

He was owner and operator of Service Master in Alton for sixteen years. A long time member and former Board member and Past President of the Alton Godfrey Rotary Club, where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow.  He belongs to the 1st Assembly of God Church in East Alton and lived in the Rosewood Heights area for over 46 years.

He is survived by his wife Barbara a daughter Kimberly Chevlin of Murrieta, CA, a son and his spouse Richard and Julie Binning of St. Charles, MO, a granddaughter Brittany Wilburn, two brothers Ronnie and spouse Shirley Binning of Pottersville, MI, Jerry and spouse Betty Binning of Charlotte, MI and a sister Connie and spouse John Clark of Cottage Hills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard Cecil Binning, Vernon David Binning in infancy, and a sister Joyce in infancy.
 
Visitation will be Tuesday July 19, 2011 from 10 am until the time of service at 1 pm at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Keller officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be directed to 1st Assembly of God Church in East Alton.

Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton are in charge of Arrangements.
