Cindy Lou Funk, 70, of Carrollton died on Monday, March 21, 2022, at her home.
Born in Jerseyville, IL on Nov. 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lois Ernestine (Austin) Holloway.
She married Melvin Funk on July 12, 1969, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons: Brett (wife Amy) Funk of Roodhouse and Brian (significant other-Kathy Young) Funk of Jerseyville, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren (and one on the way), a brother: Chuck (wife Lawanda) Holloway of Hardin, and a brother-in-law: Rodney Longnecker of Wood River and Dan Gould of Woodstock, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Tina Longnecker and Cheryl Gould.
Cindy was a 1969 graduate of Calhoun High School and worked as an LPN at Jersey Community Hospital for many years in the OB Department.
She loved working in her flowers, playing with dogs, and feeding birds. She will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. No funeral services are scheduled. Memorials may be made to Mandy’s Whine and Bark in White Hall. Condolences may be left online at: www.airsman-hires.com.
