Christopher Mucci, age 60, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with his family by his side.
He was born in Bronx, NY on October 22, 1950 to Joseph C. and Frances (Beaton) Mucci.
Chris married Shirley Messinese on December 13, 1997 in Jacksonville, FL. She survives.
He worked as a self employed musician and songwriter and played in several bands including The Woody Brothers.
He is survived by his wife, and two step-sons and their spouses; John E. and Courtney Tucker of Madison, MS, Joseph E. and Teri Tucker of Auckland, New Zealand, 5 step-grandchildren; Jack Tucker, Drew Tucker, Nick Tucker, Kaine Tucker and Kennedy Tucker, one sister and her spouse; Maureen and Mark Giegel of Mountainville, NY, and one brother and his spouse; Brian and Shannon Mucci of Pine Bush, NY, two nieces; Erin Nosek, and Victoria Mucci, a nephew; Ricky Nosek, and a a very close cousin Lenore Maroney and her partner Dottie of Rhinebeck NY, and his loving canines JoJo and Sunny.
His parents preceded Chris in death.
Memorial Services will be Thursday February 24, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mucci’s residence in Alton.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
