Christine Loretta Ballard, 84, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born May 25, 1927 in Hardin, she was a daughter of Fred and Goldie (Hunt) Bizaillion.
She retired from Olin Corp. in East Alton in 1981 after 25 years. She was a member of the East Alton American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Mt. Olive AMVETS.
Her marriage to Clifford Ballard took place in Wanda on July 24, 1970. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, daughter Faye (Kenneth) Sessions of Wood River; a son, James Edward Jones of Missouri; and daughter Patricia (Richard) Zonner of Lakeland, Fla. 4 grandchildren, Scott, Tracey, Joshua and Adam; a sister, Alberta Baker of Wood River; and two brothers, James (Nina) Bizaillion of Godfrey and Henry Bizaillion of Grand Ridge, Fla.; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Jones of Wood River.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William Paul Jones.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 29 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11:00 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Clark will officiate.
Burial will follow at Bethalto United Methodist Cemetery in Bethalto.
