Christena A. Jones, 84, passed away at 7:59 pm Friday, December 11, 2020, at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
She was born on January 6, 1936, in Jerseyville, Illinois the daughter of Herbert and Daisy (Woods) Kraushaar.
She married Francis Jones on March 21, 1936, he survives.
Christena worked at Beverly Farms as a Teacher for 40 years. She was a member of the Red Hats Ladies club. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her husband, Francis, brother, Herbert Kraushaar of Jerseyville, Nancy Telkamp of Alton, and friends Laura and Jim Fowler, and Clint and Sonja.
Christena is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Donald Kraushaar.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Illinois.
A burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois
Memorials may be made to 5 A’s Animal Shelter.
