Charline E. Bohart, 82, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born December 28, 1930 in Sorento, IL, she was the daughter of Charles “Chuck” and Juanita (Miller) Price. On April 3, 1948 she married Robert L. Bohart in Hot Springs, AK. He survives.

She retired from Bohart’s Beauty Salon in 2001 after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Madison County Hair Dressers Association and served as President five times. In 1979 she was voted State of Illinois Top Hair Dresser by her peers. She always enjoyed styling hair. In addition to her work in her salon, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and taking care of her grandchildren.

Along with her husband she is survived by a daughter, Deborah Altom of Alton, a son, Mark (Mary) Bohart of Alton, three grandchildren, Casey (Mike) Hamberg, Montana Bohart, and Luke Bohart all of Alton, five great grandchildren, Alex, Carley, Elaine, and Nathan Hamberg all of Alton, and Owen Robert all of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Community Hope Center or the Oasis Women’s Center in Alton.
