Charles Dey

Charles L. Dey, 83, of Bunker Hill, IL, died at his residence on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 4:35 am.  He was born May 19, 1939, in Carlinville, IL to Orville Clinton "O. Clinton" Dey & Kathryn Kahl Dey.  

He retired after having to serve in law enforcement.  He played and coached softball for 30 years.  He enjoyed gardening and being a "greeter at Short Stop."  

He is survived by his children, Debbie (spouse, Greg) Miller of Bunker Hill, IL, Darla Searcy of Bunker Hill, IL, Dennis (spouse, Shannon) Dey of Brighton, IL, Doug (spouse, Stephanie) Dey of Bunker Hill, IL, Dena (companion, Joe Shipton) Osterman of Bunker Hill, IL, Diane (spouse, Todd) Page of Gillespie, IL, Dawn (spouse, Matt) Markel of Bunker Hill, IL, Danielle (spouse, Ron) Helmkamp of Dorchester, IL, Donovan Dey of Granite City, IL, Dru Dey of Gillespie, IL, Dana Dey of Gillespie, IL, 29 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, sister, Deanna Fenton of Godfrey, IL and former spouse, Dorothy Goodrick of Bunker Hill, IL. 

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and great-grandchildren, Jacob Dey and Evelynn Santel. 

Friends may call on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Memorial services will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill at 2:00 pm.
