Charles Eichen

Charles Kenneth Eichen, 98, of Carlinville, died at Lakeside Heath and Rehab Center, Carlinville on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 4:24 p.m. He was born August 1, 1926, in Polk Township to Frederick Eichen & Grace Louise (Douglas) Eichen. He married Stella Marie (Barnett) Eichen on February 11, 1951 at Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2004. He was retired after having been a farmer and owner of Eichen Lumber Co. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army after having served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Carlinville Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star, Plainview. He is survived by his children, Katherine (special friend, David Hildebrand) Witt of Carlinville, Deborah (Gary) Pellizzaro of Ponte Vedra, FL, Cheryl (Jim) Madson of Lewisville, TX, Mike (Lisa) Eichen of Carlinville, Patricia (Randy) Simpson of Farmington, NM, Carol (Dan) Wills of Carlinville, Stephen (Margaret) Eichen of Plainview, Barb (Paul) Lebro of Plainview, Tommie Eichen of Carlinville, Timmie Eichen of Carlinville, 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and sister, Imogene Emery of Carlinville. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, grandson, Michael Wallis, great great granddaughter, Adeline and three brothers. Visitation will be on Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Carlinville from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Carlinville from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Funeral services are Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Carlinville.
