Charles E. Kennedy, 56, went to be with the Lord at 8:41 pm Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Christian Hospital North East in St. Louis, MO
He was born on August 5, 1956 in Alton, the son of Ivan and Juanita (Fisher) Kennedy.
He married Sue Ralston on April 2, 1977 at the First Baptist Church in Bethalto.
He worked as a Strand Castor at Laclede Steel Company for 24 years until the plant shut down and currently worked at Health Care Solutions.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, an enthusiast of computers and loved his dog “Max”. He loved to watch sports, especially his three triplet nephews, Andrew, Brandon and Curtis play football. .
In addition to his wife, Sue, he is also survived by two sons: Michael Kennedy and Stephanie Voland of Bethalto, Steven Kennedy and his fiancée Dora Snow of Wood River, his mother Juanita Kennedy of Bethalto, one brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Patty Kennedy of Godfrey, a sister and brother-in-law, Vickie & Don Patsaros of Godfrey, and several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
His father, Ivan Kennedy, preceded him in death.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9 am until time of funeral services 11 am Monday October 1, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Inurnment will be private.
