Charles Duane Liley, age 76, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 4:40 am, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on May 4, 1936 in Flint MI to the late Orville and Elta (Eaker) Liley.
Charles married Loretta (Gadberry) Hambrick on February 17, 1995 in Edwardsville, IL. She survives.
Charles retired from the Alton Street Department in 1994.
Charles is survived by his wife and one son; Mike and his spouse Cheri Liley of Gravette, AR, and two step-sons and there spouses; David and Sandy Hambrick of Wood River, IL, and Dan and Shada Hambrick of Alton, IL, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother and his spouse; Deon and Twila Liley of Bethalto, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Pam Liley, and a step-daughter Kassandra Garber.
Visitation will be from 10 am till time of service at 11 am, Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, in Bethalto, IL.
