Charlene Pearman

Charlene Faye Pearman, 85, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri on Saturday, July 9, 2016.  She was born September 8, 1930 in Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of the late Rev. Charles Samuel and Mary Irene (Weber) McGinnes.  She married Lowell L. Pearman Sr. on February 5, 1947 in Cairo, Illinois and he passed away on September 3, 2010.  She retired in 1992 from Dolly Madison Bakery in Granite City after 25 years of dedicated years as the manager and clerk.  She attended City Temple Assembly of God Church in Granite City and enjoyed her days of shopping, playing the piano and tending to her flowers.  She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.  She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell “Joe” and Valerie Pearman Jr. of Granite City, Michael and Betty Pearman of Edwardsville and William “Bill and Patty Pearman of Granite City; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl “Sher” and Aaron Kindlesparger of Chesterfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jan McGinness of Edwardsville; one sister, LaDonna Mundy of Granite City; her beloved dog, Bud; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and many friends.  In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Pearman; four brothers, John, Ray, Bob and Paul and three sisters, Mildred, Lillian and Rosemary.  In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at City Temple Assembly of God Church, 4751 Maryville Road in Granite City on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Reverend Al Langston and Reverend Mark Pearman officiating.  Burial will be at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City.  Memorials may be made to City Temple Food Pantry and may be accepted at the funeral home.
