Carrie Greene

Carrie Greene, 37, passed away at 11:30 am Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side, under the care of BJC Hospice.



She was born on August 12, 1973 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Mike Greene and Pam (Shewmake) Herzon.



She was the Director of Finance for the Princeton Review. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethalto and a Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority President.  She dedicated her life to many great things. Carrie’s top priority, along with her faith, was her precious daughter, Elise Helena Greene.  Her whole life, Carrie traveled the world, ready to share her adventures with Elise.  Now Carrie is able to view the world from Heaven above, walking with Christ in a fabulous pair of shoes.


 
Carrie is survived by her mother and stepfather,  Pam and Dr. Chuck Herzon of Godfrey and her father and stepmother, Mike and Debbie Greene of Brighton; a daughter, Elise Helena Greene at home; her grandmother, Ruby Pauline Greene of Brighton; a sister and brother-in-law, Corby M. and Toby Gates of Alton and their daughter, Amia Lynn Gates; her step brother and sisters, Aaron and Julie Herzon, Ben and Marta Herzon, Sean and Lisa Cox, Matt and Melody Cox, Tricia and Dustin Bloch and her nieces and nephews. 



She was preceded in death by her grandparents, O. James Greene and Carl and Inez Shewmake.



Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.  Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Tim Drury officiating.



Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. 

 

Memorials may be made to the Elise Helena Greene Benefit Account at 1st Midamerica Credit Union.
