Carolyn S. Grob, 76, of East Alton, IL, died at 2:56 a.m. Sat. Dec. 29, 2012 at her home with her family around her.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936 in Jefferson Co., Carolyn S. Grobto the late Ralph and Edith Dudley Sr.
On Sept. 22, 1952 she and Gilbert W. Grob were married in Jefferson Co., IL. He preceded her in death on Mar. 17, 1999.
Carolyn worked for Roxana School District and later retired from the Wood River Township Hospital. She was a founding member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church is South Roxana.
She is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Rocky & Becky Grob of South Roxana, a daughter an son-in-law, Cindy & Dale Fensterman of East Alton, 4 grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Leach, Melissa (Silas) Cox, Alyssa Grob and Nate Grob, 4 great-grandchildren, Ethan Cherry, Hailey Leach, Marley Leach, and Wyatt Cox, 2 brothers, Dale (Dana) Dudley of Mt. Vernon, IL and Ralph Dudley Jr. of Rosewood Heights IL, and her special baby “Gibby”.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wed. Jan. 2, 2013 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thurs, Jan. 3, 2103 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. David Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetary.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, or American Stroke Association.
