Carol Louise Korte, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Saint Louis University Hospital.
She was born on June 13, 1960 in Alton, IL the daughter of William A. and Hilda (Mawhee) Kidwell. Carol married Ronald Korte on May 19, 1986 at Cherry Street Baptist Church in Alton and he survives.
Carol had worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Walgreens for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and needle point. Carol watched TV often, especially her favorite shows Supernatural and NCIS. She loved music. Christmas was Carol's favorite holiday. She always enjoyed trips to the zoo. Her greatest joys were spending time with family.
In addition to her husband, Ronald: she is survived by three children, Clarissa Wuest of Jerseyville, Rachel Korte of Alton, and Gideon Korte of Alton; a brother and his wife, Eddie and Doris Kidwell; seven grandchildren and one on the way; and her dog Millie.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Billy, Elizabeth, Jimmy, and Pam.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place in the Godfrey Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes Research.
