Bryant “Quincy” Donovan Irvin

Bryant “Quincy” Donovan Irvin, 52, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his home.

He was born June 30, 1960 in Alton, IL, the son of Don and Rhea (Bryant) Irvin.

He married Maria Mitchell of Bethalto on January 20, 2007 at Vaughn Hill Church of Christ.  She survives.

Quincy was the owner/operator of the Quincy Electric Inc.  He was a member of the Vaughn Hill Church of Christ and was baptized February 7, 2007 there.  He loved rock and roll music, concerts, and sci-fi movies.  He was a handyman and enjoyed fixing things but most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by his children and their spouses, D.J. Irvin and his fiancée, Katie Kloth of Wood River, William Baxter of Springfield, IL, Stephanie Irvin and her fiancée, Tyler Allshouse, Tina Crews and Jennifer Irvin all of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Gavyn Irvin, Zoey Crews and Lucas Mack and a grandson on the way; his sisters and brothers in-law, LaRita and Dan Coffman of Shipman and Tricia and Jimmy Donovan of Florida; and his nephews Ethan Coffman and Jeremy Sanders.  Also surviving are he and Maria’s beloved companions “the guys” Mitch, Misha, Ariel, and Pepé. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Irvin; his daughter, Wendi Seward; and many beloved aunts and uncles. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 until services at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Charles West officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center.
