Bruce E. Van Meter, 70, of Litchfield, IL passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Carlinville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. He was born January 4, 1951, in Carrollton to Donald and Vera (Stendeback) Van Meter.
He is survived by his son, Bryan (Danielle) Van Meter of Gillespie; step-son Joseph (Lori Beth) McLain of Wood River; 11 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren. Sisters Cindi (Jim) Best of Smithville, MO, and Sue (David) Snider of Mesquite, TX; brothers Greg (Sue) Van Meter of Burlington, IA; and Steve (Carol) Van Meter of Wood River; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Parents, Donald and Vera Van Meter, and sister, Pam Politte preceded him in death.
A remembrance celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton.
