Brian "Hoss" K. Schmidt, 55, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
He was born in Alton, IL, on November 11, 1969, the son of Marjorie (Withrow) Schmidt. She preceded him in death.
Hoss was the owner/operator of Hoss Heating and Cooling, and worked at Beverly Farm in maintenance for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing, having drinks with his friends, watching TV shows, and "Throwing Bones."
He is survived by his son, Brian Schmidt of Hartford; his "lady" Cindy Benton of Hartford; and a brother, Kenneth Schmidt of Alton.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help with expenses.
