Brian Kent Brown, 53, of Gillespie, IL, died in Gillespie, IL on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 9:06 am. He was born August 12, 1960, in Jerseyville, IL to Robert William Brown & Reta (Cunningham) Brown. He married Monica (Bryant) Brown on September 2, 1978 in Gillespie, IL. He was a Street Supervisor for the City of Gillespie. Brian was a member of the Local 338 Laborers Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards and spending time with his family .

He is survived by his spouse, Monica Brown of Gillespie, IL, children, Shannon (Jeremy) Sarti of Gillespie, IL, Ryan (Jamie) Brown of Gillespie, IL, Erica Brown of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Rylee Sarti, Hunter Sarti, Gavin Brown, Kenton Brown, sister, Kim (Jim) Graves of Gillespie, IL, father in law and mother in law, Mitch and Sue Bryant of Gillespie, IL, sisters in law, Michelle Bryant of Gillespie, IL, Melissa Tieman of Gillespie, IL, brother in law, Mickey (Justine) Bryant of Gillespie, IL, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven Mark Brown.

Friends may call on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Memorial services are at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL at 8pm on Monday, June 2, 2014.
