Brian Foster Ogle, 73, of Roxana, IL, passed away at 7:43 a.m. Tues. May 9, 2017 at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehab in Edwardsville, IL.
He was born June 8, 1943 in Alton, IL to the late Eli F. & Mildred B. (Wallick) Ogle.
On June 25, 1961, he and Mary Ruth Allen were married in Roxana. She survives.
Brian had been a custodian for the Roxana School District for 25 years, retiring in 2002. He loved spending time with his family and he and Mary spent many years traveling by RV. He loved watching NASCAR and dirt track racing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Mark (Kim) Ogle of Edwardsville; a daughter: Shelly (Bob) Hess of Moro, IL; 5 grandchildren: Tom Hess, Nick (Neely) Smith, Tim (Jan) Smith, Lauren (Jim) Horman and Kyndall Ogle; and 2 great-grandchildren: Mabry & Delaney Smith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death a grandson, Matthew Hess and a sister.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at Woodland Hills Cemetery.
