Brad Alan Lott, 57, passed away unexpectedly at 12:55 p.m., on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
He was born on August 6, 1967, in Alton, Illinois, to Cleo and Joetta (Eisler) Lott. A 1985 graduate of Jersey Community High School, Brad lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Brad never knew a stranger, and his smile could light up any room. His kindness was evident to anyone who met him, and his quick wit and sharp sense of humor made him the life of every gathering. Family and friends new they could always count on Brad for a clever comeback or a laugh when they needed it most.
He married Donna Edwards on September 17, 1994, and together they built a life full of love, raising four daughters and creating countless cherished memories. Brad worked for many years as a dedicated laborer in the construction industry.
In his free time, Brad loved playing pool, horseshoes, and bags. He found joy in fishing and took pride in his yard, whether mowing the lawn or hosting backyard barbeques surrounded by loved ones. No matter the occasion, no adventure was complete without an ice-cold Budweiser in hand.
Brad’s love for life and the people in it was unmatched. He adored his family, especially his eight grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Surviving are his parents, Cleo and Joetta Lott of Jerseyville; his wife, Donna Lott of Jerseyville; four daughters, Chelsey Lott (Cody Norris) of Jerseyville, Hanna (Josh) Stephens of Fieldon, Kylea Lott of Jerseyville and Jayd Lott of Jerseyville; eight grandchildren, Nolan, Brynn, Camdyn, Ian, Cleo, Alexandra, Parker and Autumn; two brothers and their spouses, Chad and Tina Lott of Iowa, and Thad and Tracy Lott of Jerseyville; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Roy and Sandra Edwards of Wood River, and Dennis and Rebecca Edwards of Jerseyville; two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Theresa Anderson and Greg Kramer of Jerseyville and Ann and Larry Lenington of Jerseyville; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister at birth, Tina Marie Lott; his grandparents, Samuel and Elizabeth Lott and Frank and Irma Eisler; two aunts, Doris Hardy and Lu Long; an uncle, Artie Eisler; his mother-in-law, Marlene Edwards; and two cousins, Steven and Chucky Long.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until time of Funeral Services at 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family.
Brad will forever be remembered for his warmth, humor, and love for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
