Billie Joann Ogden, 89, died at 2:21 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Hillsboro, IL.   She was born March 15, 1934 in Jerseyville, IL, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Marshall) Westbrook.


On November 4, 1950 she married William Ogden, and he preceded her in death.  Surviving are one daughter, Debbie Glenn (Michael) of Nokomis, IL, three sons, Scott (Debi) Ogden of Ft. Worth, Texas, Steve (Kay) Ogden of Carrollton, IL and Tim (Debi) Ogden  of Easton, Pennsylvania, sister-in-law, Phyllis Ogden of Jerseyville, Grandchildren, Brad (Wendy) Ogden, Krista (Ryan) Redmon, Joshua (Kelly) Copley, Justin (Marcy) Copley, Jessica Anderson, Juniper Anderson, Katie (John) Hilgert, Matthew Glenn, Christopher (Haley) Glenn, Andrew (Angela) Glenn, Jessica (Brandon) Ogden, Kyle (Sarah) Ogden, Brian Ogden and Brandy Ogden and 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Connie Anderson and one sister, Pearle Brown.


Billie was the sweetest most giving wife, mother and grandmother.  She showered her unbounded love upon her family, friends and strangers.  She knew the names of caretakers and their families too.   She developed deep friendships in her 23 years in Florida near Okeechobee.  Billie kept all her family and friends in her heart.  To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed.


Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Jerseyville United Methodist Church in Jerseyville, IL. and visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.  Pastor Bob Taylor will officiate.
