Betty S. Shaw, 71, died at 11:57 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born September 7, 1941 in Palmyra, MO the daughter of the late Walter and Madline (Carlton) Bremmer. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass for 23 years and later was a driver for Godfrey Bus lines. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. On April 2, 1976 in Elsah, IL she married Melvyn Shaw and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2004. She is survived by one daughter; Theresa Richardson and her husband Joe of St. Elmo, IL and one step daughter; Sherry Lopez of Redlands, CA and a step son; Richard Rhoades, four grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by one sister; Beverly Stamm. There will be a Memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
