Betty Kearbey, 82, passed away at 8:50am on Monday, December 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born on October 18, 1933, in Blakeley, Georgia, the daughter of the late Glenn and Noma (Rabon) Carmichael. She married Lester Kearbey on November 27, 1954, in Columbus, Georgia, and he survives. Other survivors include one daughter and son in law: Sharon “Diane” and Todd Zucca of Hartford, one son and daughter in law: Cecil and Debra E. Kearbey of Alton, four grandchildren: Jami Rose and her husband: Tommy, Amanda Anderson and her husband: Bradley, Megan Kearbey, Emily Kearbey, two great – grandchildren: Marrisa Morrison, Lindzey Morrison, and one brother: Bobbie Carmichael of Forston, Georgia.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Kim Allen will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice of Alton and will be accepted at the funeral home.
