Betty J. Theisen, 84, passed away 6:55 a.m. sunday, April 6, 2014 at St. Clare's Center in Alton. Born in Farina, IL on July 26, 1929, she was the daughter of William and Clara (Gessell) Hendricks. She worked over 25 years as an operater for the Olin Corporation before retiring. She had been a member of the VFW Post 1308 Ladies Auxillary. On June 16, 1953 in Corning, Ark., she married William E. Bauer. He died October 15, 1990. Surviving are a son, Larry Bauer of Wood River; daughter, Linda (Lloyd) Acup of East Alton; four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a brother, William A. hendricks of Cincinatti, OH; and a sister, Mary Lou outhouse of Wood River. Visittion will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
