Bette Ann Clarkson, 97, died at 7:29 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her residence. She was born September 4, 1926, in Franklin, IL the daughter of the late Dwight and Georgia (Lashmet) Seymour. On January 3, 1946, in White Hall, IL she married Harold Lloyd Clarkson, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2014. Surviving are one daughter, Cinda Christine Loesch (Finley) of Godfrey, one son, Harold Kenton Clarkson (Gail Hutchinson) of Jerseyville, one daughter in law, Joan Prulidge of Alton, two grandchildren, Matthew Loesch (Emily) and Megan Sumpter (Joe) and two great-grandchildren, Eric Loesch and Graham Loesch, three sister in laws, Ruth Seymour of Godfrey, Alberta Seymour of Jacksonville, IL and Edema Seymour San Bernadino, CA. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Mark Clarkson, five brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
