Benito Carmona, 72, passed away at 2:10 pm Thursday February 3, 2011 at home.
He was born on March 21, 1938 in Alton, the son of Saturnino & Gavina (Trevino) Carmona.
He worked in the boiler room at Illinois Power Company.
He is survived by a daughter Amanda Carmona of Alton, four sons, Michael, Rudy, Scott, and Ben; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary & James Stephenson and Delores “Lola” & Robert Gross.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Carmona, one brother, Rudy Carmona, two sisters, Rachel Carmona and Pat Macias, and an infant brother, Emilio Carmona.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday February 8, 2011 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday February 9, 2011 with Fr. James Flach officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.
