Barbara Sue "Sue" Weinberg, 77, of Gillespie, IL, died at Evelyn's House, Creve Coeur, MO on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 6:00 am.
She was born September 28, 1944, in Rumsey, KY to Carl Hawes & Veta Southerland Hawes. Her family moved to Illinois in 1956. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1962. She married Sheldon Weinberg on February 19, 1966, in Benld, IL. She had worked for the State of Illinois Department of Finance and Department of General Services, Weinberg Auto Salvage, and Sullivan Drugs. Sue and her husband were winter Texans spending many years in Mission, Texas.
She is survived by her spouse, Sheldon Weinberg of Gillespie, IL, daughter, Stacy (Robert) Meyer of Hillsboro, IL, son, Steven (Carol) Weinberg of St. Peters, MO, grandsons, Isaac Weinberg, Aaron Weinberg, Hunter Meyer, Logan Meyer, sister, Jean McGuire and sister in law, Connie Reiniesch.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Her remains will be cremated and a private burial will be held at a later date. No public services will be held.
