Barbara K. Earlin, age 70 of Maryville, Il, born July 28, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Anderson Hospital surrounded by her family. 

Barb was a 1969 Collinsville High School graduate.  In the mid-1970s, she worked for her dad at Schiber Shell in Collinsville where she met the love of her life, Bill.  They married on April 28, 1979.  Barb ran her own in-home daycare for many years making lasting bonds. Each and every child meant so much to her. 

Barb and her husband, Bill, camped at Cool Creek Resort in Grantfork, IL enjoying time with friends, playing cards, and going on golf cart rides. Barb beautifully painted wooden decorations cut out by her husband, she was a collector of Christmas decorations, it made her happy to watch her grandkids play sports, and spend time in her yard. She dearly loved her dog, Milo. He brought her many days of happiness. 

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Maryville.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” and Grace B. (nee Hultz) Schiber; her husband, William Henry “Bill” Earlin; and a grandson, Connor Moore, who passed away in 2013, and is laid to rest with her. 

Surviving are her three daughters:  Dawn (Fred) Campbell of Maryville, Jennifer (Jerry) Hearn of Maryville, and Suzie (Mike) Moore of Collinsville; eight grandchildren: Michael (Jessica), Matthew, Lukas, Ben, Kaden, David, Nolen, and Rylan; a brother, Bill (Debbie) Schiber of Highland; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Anna Haney of Waynesville, MO. 

Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville. 

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Donahue officiating.  Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Collinsville, IL. 

Memorials are suggested to SHARE (pregnancy and infant loss support at Anderson Hospital) and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
