Barbara Jean Rush, 83, died at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Born July 18, 1938, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Oliver and Marie (Kaufmann) Alewel. She married Lee Roy Rush Sr. They were married for 54 years. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2011.
Surviving are her children, Deborah Dudley (Hal) of Killeen, TX, Lee Rush Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Eddie Rush of Little Rock, AR, and Robert Rush (Stacy) of Belleville, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, and her siblings, Edna, Lorraine, Bea, Eddie, and Oliver “Sonny”.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
