Barbara Ann Parker, 71, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home. Born April 4, 1941 in Alton, she was the daughter of Victor Charles and Blanche Odelta (Ealey) Wille. Mrs. Parker was “mom of the year” and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey and the Alton Moose. She retired as a legal secretary from the law firm of Farrell, Hamilton and Julian in Godfrey. On April 26, 1958 in Alton, she married Thomas W. Parker. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Susan M. Parker of Hardin, and Deborah R. Quigley and husband Tim of Alton, one son, Jeffrey M. Parker of Alton, four grandchildren, David Spurrier, Stephanie Russell, Ryan Parker, and Melissa Icke, seven great grandchildren, Jorden, Paul, Jared, Maddox, Lillian, Nolan, and Jaxson, and brothers and sisters, Arlene Marberry of Godfrey, Richard Wille of Godfrey, Mary Brand of Godfrey, Theresa Fuchs of Godfrey, Patty Fosko of St. Louis, MO, and Brenda Cope of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Valerie A. Spurrier and a son, Samuel W. Parker. At her request there will be no services.
