Arthur Eugene “Art” Smith, Jr., 41, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home.
Born Dec. 2, 1970 in Wood River, he was the son of Arthur Eugene Sr. and Marcella (Winter) Smith.
Art enjoyed working with computers.
He married Melissa A. Battles Aug. 5, 2005 in Edwardsville. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Marcella Smith of Alton; a daughter, Kandice Smith of Roxana; a son, Stephen Smith of East Alton; and one grandson, Mason.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, with cremation to follow.
Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
