Arthur Dwain Jarman passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the age of 72 at Alton Memorial Rehab in Alton, Illinois. He was born on June 14, 1950, in Hillsboro, Illinois. He is the son of Herschel and Lovetta (nee Reed) Jarman of Sorento, Illinois.
Arthur served in the Army, Troop D, 9th Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam. He enjoyed sports and cheering for his favorite teams: the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. He also loved gardening and spending time with his family. He worked at Olin Corporation, Winchester Division, for 40 years as an adjuster.
He is survived by 3 children - Lee (Lisa) Smith, Anita Huber (Brent Peterein), and Julia (William) Freeland; brother Gerald Jarman; 4 sisters - Gail (Darwin) Royer, Rena Jarman, Debbie (Darrell) File, Judy (Sheldon) Ray; his loving aunt Shirley Neal; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Keiko Jarman, and his parents.
Per his wishes, his remains are to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 10:00 am-11:30 am with a flag ceremony at 11:30 am-12:00 pm.
