Anna Slemmer

Anna L. Slemmer, age 91, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 4:58 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Eden Village in Glen Carbon. 

Anna worked at Madison Store and Imbers Men’s Wear in Edwardsville until retiring in 1983.

She was born November 4, 1927, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late Guy & Wava (Cagle) Zilibotti.  She married Wilbur Slemmer on November 7, 1947, in Edwardsville and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1985. 

Anna is survived by 1 daughter, Sandra Seaton & husband Ken of Shawnee, Kansas; 1 son, Harold “Butch” Slemmer & wife Donna of Edwardsville; 4 grandchildren, David Slemmer & wife Angie of Edwardsville, Ben Slemmer & wife Susan of Dorsey, Jana Deters & husband Jami of Basehor, Kansas, and Brian Seaton & wife Jessica of Olathe, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, Weston, Julian, Luke, Campbell, Trinity, Colton, Reese, Brantley, Savannah, Drew, Brielyn and Hazel; and 1 brother, Ova Zilibotti & wife Nancy of Edwardsville. 

She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Guy Zilibotti & wife Josephine.

Anna was a member of the LeClaire Christian Church and was treasurer & Sunday School Teacher for 32 years.  She volunteered 7 years for Meals on Wheels and 10 years with the Anderson Hospital Gift Shop.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 10 am until 11 am at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home.  Services will follow at 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Johnston officiating. 

Interment will be at Buck Road Cemetery in Glen Carbon. 

Memorials may be given to the LeClaire Christian Church Building Fund.
