Anna L. Hammon, 85, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.
She was born July 15, 1927 in Greenfiled, IL, daughter of the late Frank & Helen (Sheppard) Clark.
She married Alfred Wayne Hammon in 1946 in Carrolton, IL. He preceded her in death.
Anna worked as an Inspector for Quality Control for Olin Corporation for 26 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing and dearly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Anna is survived by three daughters and their spouses Brenda Herbstreit of Bethalto, IL, Sue (Bill) Ressler of Godfrey, IL, Karen (Danny) Talley of Cottage Hills, IL; two sons and spouse Kenneth Hammon of Bethalto, IL, Ronald (Chris) Hammon of Montgomery City, MO; four sisters Jean Bruce of Alton, Barbara Shaw of Eldred, IL, Wyoma Henson of Carrolton, IL, Wanda Rice of Jerseyville, IL, ninteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many Neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, Husband Alfred Wayne, one son Steven Hammon, one granddaughter Natalie Hammon, three sisters Francis Medford, Evelyn Mann and Joyce Beach
Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm Saturday July 6, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
