Ann Weigler

Alton |

Ann Louise Weigler peacefully passed into the presence of God on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on September 13, 1932, in Alton, Illinois, to Horace and Louise Wollerman, Ann was a beloved daughter, a treasured friend, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Ann graduated from high school in Alton and ventured to California, where she lived for about ten years. In 1962, she returned to Alton and married the love of her life, Joseph Weigler. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and faith. They resided in and around Alton until 1992, after which they retired to their mountain ranch, Rancho de Anjo, in the foothills of Colorado. After selling their ranch, they settled into a peaceful haven in southern Utah.

Ann led a quiet life of peace and harmony, embodying kindness and grace in every aspect of her journey. She was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Ann's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy and solace in studying the Bible.

Among her many passions, Ann cherished horseback riding, especially her time spent with her dearest horse, Cisco. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, and walking her Irish Setter. Above all, her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment. She relished every moment spent with them, celebrating their milestones, and nurturing their hearts with her love and wisdom.

Ann is survived by her daughter Laura of Utah; her son Tim and daughter-in-law Vicki of Illinois; her grandsons Chad and his wife Stephanie of Virginia, and Alexander and his wife Eri of California. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Alan in 1979 and her devoted husband Joseph in 2016.

Cremation has been performed, and a private ceremony will be held at a later date for interment in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Godfrey, Illinois.

Ann’s life was a testament to her unwavering kindness, love, and spiritual strength. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).
