Anita “Neat” Louise Hayes, 48, of Brighton, IL, died at 12:45 p.m. Thurs. Sept. 27, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL.
She was born Dec. 5, 1953 in Wood River, IL to Alfred T. & Beverly Jean (Kanter) Lake.
Neat worked for Wal-Mart since 1998 in both the Jerseyville and Wood River stores.
Survivors include: fiancée, Mark Eyer of Brighton, daughter, Jackie Hayes and her fiancée Brandon Plummer of East Alton, a son, Danny Hayes II of Cottage Hills, IL, 5 grandchildren, Haedon, Kaylee, Collin, Dylin and Alexis, a sister and brother-in-law, Laura & Wayne Lair of Brighton, a half-brother, David Kent of CA and an uncle, “Dirty” John Kanter of Alton.
The family will hold a memorial gathering at the home of her daughter in East Alton from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wed. Oct. 3, 2012.
