On February 27, 2022, Angela entered eternal rest peacefully at her home. Ms. Angela Denise “Kandi” Jones was born June 19, 1971, to the union of Mr. Ira Lee Jones Sr and Mrs. Denise Jones- Wheeler in Alton, IL. Angela confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age. Angela attended Alton Public Schools and graduated from Alton High School.
During her career, she held various positions. Angela enjoyed working with people and using her hands. She worked for companies such as Towne Place Suites and the International Mulch Company before her earthly departure. The simplest pleasures in life brought immense joy to Angela. She loved her quiet time with a book in her hand. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Angela was an avid housekeeper and a very attentive mother. Angela was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She doted on her family and was happiest when her large family surrounded her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, and grand-dogs Christian and Snoop.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents: Ira Lee Jones Sr. and Denise Jones – Wheeler, stepfather Ernest “Ernie” Wheeler, brother: Ira Lee Jones Jr., grandparents: Billie and Joe Womack, Lillian D Mitchell, and Robert Lee Jones.
Angela leaves to cherish her memories her children: Empra Jones of Alton, IL, Denise “Lorenzo” Taylor of Oceanside CA, and Marcus Lovett Jr. of Alton, IL., three brothers: Brian Smith of Milwaukee, WI, Christopher Taylor, James “Erin” Wheeler both of Alton, one sister: Iris Jones of Alton, IL, two grandsons: Tristin “Bear” Stafford and Landon Taylor, special friends: Ced, Wade, Kelly, special grandkids Zaylin, Zandrea and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
