Aneta M. Green, 94, formerly of East Alton, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Born Jan. 8, 1922 in Dorsey, Ill., she was a daughter of Herman and Anna (Burjes) Johnson.
She had worked as a beauty operator, an inspector for Olin Corp. for 5 years, and a retail clerk for Eastgate Card & Gift Shop for 10 years.
Survivors include a son, Randall (Cynthia) Green of Geneva; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Velma Hahnenkamp; and her former husband , Earl Green.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at the chapel at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Ill., with Pastor Martin Schultz officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River.
