ST. LOUIS, MO.-  Amy (Freeman) White,  77, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.Amy was born in Missisippi on Aug. 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Curtis & Verta (Plummer) Freeman.After graduating from Jersey Community High School as well as nursing school, Amy was employed as a RN at various hospitals including Cardinal Glennon and the former Missouri Pacific Railroad Hospital both in St. Louis.She married Arson White on July 15, 1961 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grafton, and the two enjoyed many years of traveling in the Silverstream coast to coast, and wintered in Mission, Texas for several seasons.Surviving are her husband, Arson White of St. Louis, MO.; a brother, Curtis Freeman of Hurst, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, whom she doted on as her own children and grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen "Katy" Sutphin and Ruth Imogene McCombs; and a brother, LaVern "Bus" Freeman.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Crawford Funeral Home with Father William Hembrow officiating.Burial will be in the Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools of Jerseyville.
