Alice Laverne Siemer, 84, formerly of Rockbridge, IL, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
She was born on September 2, 1940, in East Alton, the daughter of the late Jesse and Lucille (Jones) Scott.
Alice married Marvin Siemer on December 19, 1959, in Shipman, IL. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2017. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, taking care of her flowers, bird watching, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children Ronald (Myra) Siemer of Wrights, IL, Timothy (Teresa) Siemer of Quincy, IL, Carmen (Kevin) Sanders of Nokomis, IL, and James (Melody) Siemer of Virden, IL; seven grandchildren, Amy, Allie, Benjamin, Danielle, Jennifer, Derek, and Courtney; ten great grandchildren with twins on the way; sister Della Jeffers; brother Dwayne Scott.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Delores Lassiter, Lara Lee Jones, Gloria Webster, and Letha Kisselbach.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Greenfield, IL.
Memorials may be made to Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Activity Fund.
